Brucella Testing

Brucella Canis s a poorly treatable disease that can cause infertility in both the male and female and devastate a breeding colony. All dogs prior to freezing must have a negative Brucella test within six months of collection. We recommend that males be tested at least annually and bi-annually if used heavily.   We typically send blood to our reference lab for Brucella testing, but we also have an in house test that can be run in 20 minutes if a dog comes in for a fresh chilled semen collection and we need immediate results.  For more information on Brucella Canis http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?A=2428
